Tree felling is the cutting down of a tree. This could be needed for a number of reasons such as land clearing, safety concerns, or due to disease. As professional tree fellers, we have the skill set to carry this work out whilst avoiding injury, property damage, and without damaging surrounding trees. We use a range of methods to ensure safe and efficient tree removal.
Generally felling a tree is a last resort unless absolutely necessary as our main priority is to maintain and protect as much as possible. We will carry out an assessment to ensure this is the correct course of action.
There are many different ways of felling a tree and deciding which method to use is based on the type of tree and the surrounding area. For sectional felling and tree reduction, we have a cherry picker which will be used as a first option where access permits as it is the safest option for ourselves as well as those around us. However, where a tree cannot be accessed with the cherry picker, we have fully qualified tree climbers that are able to ascend the tree and lower sections of it to the ground using rigging techniques. Alternatively, where there are no surrounding risks, we can also carry out a straight tree fell. By this, we cut the tree down in one go, without sectioning it.
